There were plenty of miraculous events in the Old Testament, but there was something special about the miracles that Jesus performed. His miracles authenticated his power and divinity. People responded to his miracles differently than the witnesses of Old Testament miracles. Throughout the Gospel of Mark we see them respond in amazement (Mark 2:12, 5:42, 6:51).

Here is a list of the amazing miracles Jesus performed while he walked among us demonstrating his power over sickness, spiritual forces, nature, and even death itself.

The Power of a Heaven-sent Dream and “JESUS”

Another Miracle Story from the Jesus Film Project

It was Sunday morning, when Mike’s mom shared the amazing dream she had the night before. In the dream, Jesus handed her an envelope as he told her, “The contents of this envelope will not only change your life but change the lives of many to come.”

Mike’s parents were Iranian refugees with no knowledge of Jesus, so it was hard to believe she saw Him in a dream.

She finished recounting the dream, and with tears streaming down her face she told her son, “I want to go to church!”

Mike remembers the moment:
“I argued, ‘Mom, you are not from that religion, we can’t go to church!’ but she insisted. We went and during the church service visitors were asked to stand. They welcomed us and handed my mother an envelope! My mom’s knees began to shake. She sat down and she started bawling. Inside the envelope was a New Testament and a ‘JESUS’ film. She just sat there in tears. Once we were home, she watched the video many times. She locked herself in a room for a week. When she came out, mom was transformed. Later, all of us came to know the Lord!”

Today, Mike leads one of the premier Christian television ministries that is reaching all of Iran, via satellite. Tens of thousands have come to Christ. And it began with a dream, a New Testament, and a copy of the film “JESUS.”

Miracles still happen and Jesus still makes house calls.

Sid and Liz are ministry partners who live south of Dearborn, Michigan – home to one of the largest Middle Eastern immigrant populations in America. The Doyles and their volunteers have given out thousands of DVDs of “JESUS” in their area.

Liz was leading a group of church volunteers Christmas caroling from home-to-home in a Middle Eastern immigrant neighborhood. It was a classic scene on a cold Michigan night. Everyone was bundled up. They walked up the steps of one home and stood on the porch. They began singing…

“Silent Night, Holy Night,  Son of God, love’s pure light. Radiant beams from thy holy face…”

Isa (Jesus) Appeared to Omar

Omar’s life was empty and full of troubles. He was weary and without hope. Omar shared his depressed state with a friend, who advised, “It’s time for you to go on the holy pilgrimage.”

Omar listened…because nothing else was working. So, he went, seeking hope and peace, and joined the multitudes of white-robed pilgrims to his religion’s famed city. He carried out all the required rituals at the various holy sites, including “Stoning the Devil.” But when it was over, he told his fellow pilgrims, “They told me I would find solutions and hope here. I haven’t. I’m still weary, worse than before and don’t know what to do.”

Discouraged, Omar went to the bus station to return home. The station was normally jammed with people, but not this time. There was only one bus left, and it was empty. It was a strange situation, but wanting to get going, he boarded anyway.
