Daniel’s Amazing Prophecy

Daniel was truly a man of God. We first read about Daniel shortly after Judah was captured by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. Daniel, along with other young men, was taken from Judah to Babylon to be trained for the king’s service. 

We are probably more familiar with the story of Daniel being thrown into the lion’s den, than we are of his prophecies, which predicted the future. Be that as it may, his predictions of the future are much more important to us. They were so accurate, that critics of the Bible claimed they had to be written after the fact. They claimed the book of Daniel was a book of history rather than prophecy. However, the discovery of ancient manuscripts, some dating back to 250 BC, have quieted those critics.

What’s Coming Next?

As we look around us, with the Coronavirus Pandemic going on we see people living in fear and anxiety and looking to the goverments for answers. If a virus can cause such panic in the world, imagine how it will be when the anticipated rapture happens. (All prophecies to be fulfilled before the rapture has taken place; the rapture is the next prophetic event to occur.) Millions of people will suddenly be gone. Those that don’t recognize it as the rapture will be looking for answers. They will be looking to their country’s leaders for guidance. With the different governments enacting controls on their people with this virus, it is easy to see how the world governments could come together to solve the problems the rapture will cause and when one man (The Antichrist) will seem to have the answers, he will be pushed into the spotlight.

Earthquakes Fulfilling the Words of Jesus

Jesus said that in the last days there would be an increase in famine and earthquakes (Matthew 24:7-8).

Earthquakes have greatly increased in the last century and are increasing each year. There are now 55 earthquakes per day in the United States. The USA used to average 21 quakes of a magnitude of 3.0 or larger in its central region. In 2011 there were 134 events of that size, but in 2014, there were 659. This is a massive increase of 31 times more that were seen during the 20th century.

Before 2009, there were on the average, 2 earthquakes a year in Oklahoma of a magnitude of 3.0 or greater, last year there were 907.

Earthquakes are not only getting much more numerous but are also getting larger. Worldwide from 2007 to 2017, there were 146,635 earthquakes of 6.0 and larger.

You would think that in our modern world that famine would be a thing of the past. However, just the opposite is true. The very worst famines in history have occurred within the last century.

Jesus said, these would be the birth pains to the end. “Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.” (Matthew 24:33)
