The Power of Song
Before coming to Christ, John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, traveled from England to Georgia as a missionary, but the experience was a failure. As he returned home in frustration, his ship ran headlong into a terrible storm. Wesley was terrified, but he couldn’t help noticing a group of German Christians aboard the ship. They trusted God so completely they held a worship service in the storm. In the middle of their singing, a wave rose over the vessel and bore down like Niagara. But the Christians didn’t miss a note. Wesley realized the German believers had something he didn’t have; and through their influence, he shortly afterward trusted Christ completely and felt his heart “strangely warmed.”
Trusting Christ enables us to sing in the storm. Our Lord gives songs in the night, and He teaches us to sing songs of deliverance as we wait on Him.
An old hymn says “Singing I go along life’s road, praising the Lord, praising the Lord.” Others, noticing the melody of our lives, will be drawn to Christ.(David Jeremiah)

Supernatural Facts of the Bible proving the Scriptures were God inspired
The Ark’s design was thousands of years ahead of its time. (Genesis 6:14-16) The Ark was to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. It was to have three decks with a combined area of 101,250 square feet, and a capacity of over one and a half million cubic feet. It was a vessel of over 43,000 tons, and nearly equal in size to the Titanic.
In 1609 a Holland company built a ship after the pattern of the Ark. It revolutionized the shipbuilding industry. Today most ships are still built to similar proportions. There is no way that Noah would have had the knowledge to build the Ark, without the divine instructions from God. The vessel that Noah built was very different and much larger than boats of that era. The boats of Noah’s time were small flat-bottomed boats powered by oars or a combination of oars and a fixed sail.
In comparison, the Ark that Noah built would be much closer in design and size to the Titanic, than to the boats of his time. (more…)
The Blood Trail
For many years I set up deer camp on the edge of a large cedar swamp. It was at the end of an old logging road, nearly three miles from the nearest gravel road. Deer camp is a tradition in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as it is in many parts of the country. Over the years there have been many different people in the camp. This year it would just be my brother Mark, his wife Deb and myself. My brother and his wife had driven to the U.P. from Arkansas. For several years they made the trip. While they enjoyed deer hunting, Mark said the best part was the deer camp, campfires, and visiting. However, he always seemed to shoot his buck every time. The following is his story of one of those hunts.
“I was in my treestand early. The day was just breaking. The forest was coming alive. And, to top it off it was snowing.
Huge snowflakes were steadily falling. It gave a surreal feel to the woods. It was almost too perfect. It was going to be a great morning.”
Scientists Admit: The Fossil Record Doesn’t Show Evolution Has Occurred
The fossil record in the sedimentary rocks is supposed to show the evolution of life to more advanced and complex life forms, over vast spans of time. Evolutionist looks to the fossils as proof that evolution took place. As Geologist Carl Dunbar stated:
“Fossils provide the only historical, documentary evidence that life has evolved from simpler to more and more complex forms.”
However, in the billions of fossils, there is not a single example of one species transitioning into another. There are no transitional fossils. Even the evolutionist admit that there are none. I include several quotes by evolutionists later in this post.

For ages, the difference between night and day was believed to be caused by the sun rotating around the earth. Today we know that the earth’s rotation on its axis is responsible for the sun’s rising and setting. But over 4000 years ago, it was written, “Have you given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place,………..The earth takes shape like clay under a seal:” (Job 38:12,14)
“The picture here is of a clay vessel being turned or rotated upon the potter’s wheel–an accurate analogy of the earth’s rotation.” (Ray Comfort)
Job 38:16 “Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea.” It wasn’t until 1977, that scientists discovered the first of many hydrothermal vents, or hot springs, on the deep ocean floor. These springs are in total darkness. No one but God could have known about them over 4000 years ago.
Job 38:35 “Can you send out lightning, that they may go, And say to you, Here we are?” This had to sound like a strange question to Job. But all electromagnetic radiation, from radio waves to x-rays, travels at the speed of light. This is why you can have instantaneous wireless communication with someone on the other side of the earth. The fact that light could be sent and then manifest itself in speech wasn’t discovered by science until 1864, (3,300 years later) when British scientist James Maxwell discovered that electricity and light waves are two forms of the same thing.
Three different places in the Bible tell us that the earth is wearing out. Isaiah 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment.’
Psalm 102:25-26, In the beginning, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the (celestial) heavens are the work of your hand. They will perish, but you remain; they will wear out like a garment.”
Hebrews 1:10-11 “They (earth and the celestial heavens) will perish, but you remain; they will wear out like a garment.”
This wearing out and running down is considered the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This scientific law states: that in all physical processes, every ordered system over time tends to become more disordered. Everything is running down and wearing out as energy is becoming less and less available for use. The fact that this is happening to our world and universe wasn’t discovered by science until recently, even though the Bible stated this in concise terms thousands of years ago.
Job 38:19 asks: “Where is the way where light dwells?” Until roughly the time of Newton, no one knew that there was a “way” where light “dwells” – that is, a direction where light comes from. Photons, the particles that carry and, for all practical purposes, are light, weren’t discovered until Einstein. In empty space, the speed of light is approximately 186,000 miles per hour.
Job 38:24, By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth? God asked Job a list of questions intended to show him how small Job really was in comparison with the universe around him. This particular question demands of Job how the light was parted (by day into night) and how that light makes the east wind blow.
Now we, today, can answer that question. Job could not. The light causes the east wind to blow because the dawn heats the air that has been cooled all night. As the air cooled, it had contracted until it basically reached an equilibrium. Then when dawn creeps towards the horizon it begins to heat the air nearby, and as this air is heated it expands, causing a higher pressure than the still-cool air of the night, which makes the east wind “blow”. It wasn’t until about five hundred years ago that the connection between light and wind was made.

Coelacanth – An Evolutionary Embarrassment
Coelacanth – The fish that was supposed to have climbed out of the water millions of years ago is still alive and still a fish.
In the winter of 1938, a fishing boat off the coast of southern Africa, dragged from the Indian Ocean a fish that supposedly lived 350 million years ago and was thought to be extinct for 70 million years. The Coelacanth were considered to be ancestral to land vertebrates. It was considered an index fossil. Any rock which contained an Coelacanth fossil was believed to be 70,000,000 to 400,000,000 years old. Paleontologists had confidently pronounced the coelacanth was extinct before man had evolved. Yet, humans and coelacanths are living together in the present world. Another one was caught, thousands of miles away in Indonesia in 1998. Several have been caught since.
The discovery of the Coelacanth was an embarrassment to the evolutionist, in that the Coelacanth was considered to be the chief candidate to represent a transition species from fish to amphibian. Supposedly one hundred million years ago, the Coelacanth walked out of the water on its fins, grew legs and became an amphibian. Millions of students had been taught that this fish was the ancestor of all land creatures, including man. However, they are still the same as they were supposedly a hundred million years ago. The evolutionist believed the Coelacanth lived in shallow water, ready to crawl out onto land, when in fact, it was a deep sea fish. Its discovery was a blow to the evolution theory as the following statements show.
“Throughout the hundreds of millions of years the coelacanths have kept the same form and structure. Here is one of the great mysteries of evolution.” (Jacques Millot, The Coelacanth, Scientific American)
“The brain of a 90-pound coelacanth weighs less than 50 grams [0.11 ounces] —that is, no more than one 15,000th of the body weight. No present-day vertebrate that we know of has so small a brain in relation to its size.” (Jacques Millot, The Coelacanth, Scientific American)
“…..We never saw any of them walk, and it appears the fish is unable to do so.” (Coelacanths: The Fish That Time Forgot, National Geographic)
The coelacanth, the fish that the evolutionists claimed walked out of the water and became one of the first amphibian, is alive and well today. But it is still a fish, just as God made it.

Part 2 – Supernatural Facts in The Bible
Supernatural Facts of the Bible proving the scriptures were God inspired
Isaiah 55:10; “the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth.” Isaiah spoke of the cycle of water 2500 years before man was aware of it. We are told that precipitation watered the earth.
Ecclesiastes 1:7; “All the rivers run into the sea. Yet the sea is not full; To the place from which the rivers come, There they return again.” The Mississippi alone dumps approximately 518 billion gallons of water into the gulf of Mexico. The Bible explains that the waters run to the oceans and then through evaporation and precipitation returned to where it started.
Job 36:27-28 “He draws up the drops of water which distill as rain to the streams; the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind.” The Bible tells us how moisture is drawn up through evaporation and then falls as rain upon the earth.
Amos 9:6 “he calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land.” The world’s scientific minds did not understand that there was a continuous cycle of water or how it operated until the seventeenth century.
Job 28:24-26 “For He looks to the ends of the earth, And sees under the whole heavens, To establish a weight for the wind, And apportion the waters by measure. When He made a law for the rain, And a path for the thunderbolt,” Meteorologists have found that the relative weights of the wind and water greatly determine the weather patterns. Job spoke of this 3000 years ago, a fact that scientists have only determined in the last century. The fact that so much water covers the earth means that the effects of the sun and moon’s gravity are perfectly balanced.
Psalm 19:6 “it’s (the sun) going forth is from the end of the heavens, And its circuit unto the ends of it; And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.” (ASV) Man has always thought that the sun was stationary. However, it has been discovered in recent years that the sun is in fact moving through space at approximately 600,000 miles per hour. It is traveling through the heavens and has a “circuit” just as the Bible says. Its circuit is so large it would take approximately 200 million years to complete one orbit.
