It’s a Young Earth After All

Image https://byhisgrace211.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/god-loves-you_1_.gifThe standard secular timeline is that the earth is some 4.6 billion years old. The theory of an old earth is in direct contrast to what the Bible teaches. The Bible gives us a chronological and genealogical history of people and events beginning from the time of creation, throughout history, making the earth a little over 6000 years old. An old earth is important for the evolutionists. They believe that given enough time, anything is possible, even evolution. There is a lot of controversy over the various dating methods; many have been shown to be in error by millions of years. I will be deal with these in later posts.

New scientific discoveries are pointing to a much younger earth. One that is 6,000 to 10,000 years old. I will be posting many of these over the next month starting with the following:

The Shrinking Sun: For the past one hundred and fifty years, astronomers have made regular measurements of the diameter of the sun. These measurements have shown that the sun is shrinking at the rate of five feet per hour. At its rate of shrinkage, as little as 50,000 years ago the sun would have been so large that our oceans would boil. 100,000 years ago the sun would have been twice its present size. But in far less time than 50,000 years, life here would have ceased to exist. Studies have shown that if the size of the sun or the earth’s distance from it, were either slightly greater or smaller, life on Earth could not exist.

Science and The Bible VS Evolution

Displaying pixabay.comOn several recent posts, there have been many that believe in evolution, that have made comments against what I have written or against the comments Christians have posted. It is clear that they think that if you believe in creation, then you don’t believe in science. That is not true. Science has made our lives better and easier in many ways. Certainly, much of what I was posting from the Bible concerning nature, medical, sanitation, and the universe would be considered scientific. There have been many great scientists that believed in creation and the Bible. They saw no conflict between the two. Scientists such as Isaac Newton, Leonardo Da Vinci, Francis Bacon, Samuel Morse, Blaise Pascal, Albert Einstein, and Galileo, just to name a few.

Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind.“ – Albert Einstein, 1941

Evolution, on the other hand, is a scientific theory that has never been proven but has been taught in our universities, as if it was a proven fact. Tens of thousands of people believe evolution is a proven fact, simply because that is what they were taught. Most students accept anything their professor say as absolute truth.

Physicist Mark Singham, speaking on the trust that college students have for their professors and in what they are being taught.

“And I use that trust to effectively brainwash them…….We only introduce arguments and evidence that supports the currently accepted theories and omit or gloss over any evidence to the contrary.”

Not all scientists believe in evolution. The number that is rejecting evolution is growing every day. There are roughly one thousand scientists that align themselves with the Institute for Creation Research. No new scientific papers are being published that would support evolution. However, there is a constant flow of papers being published that contain new discoveries that show evolution is impossible.

“I could find not a single published scientific paper reporting the evidence that supports the fundamental requirement of evolution that new meaningful genetic information arises by chance. Instead, I have found much-published data showing that it is impossible for new purposeful genetic information of any significance for evolution to arise by chance.” (Dr. John Ashton, Evolution Impossible)

“The new studies in molecular science are showing that each class of species at a molecular level is unique, isolated, and unlinked by intermediates. Thus molecules, like fossils, have failed to provide the elusive intermediates so long sought by evolutionary biology.” (Michael Denton, Evolution: A Theory in Crisis)

Science will disprove evolution

Isa (Jesus) Appeared to Omar

Omar’s life was empty and full of troubles. He was weary and without hope. Omar shared his depressed state with a friend, who advised, “It’s time for you to go on the holy pilgrimage.”

Omar listened…because nothing else was working. So, he went, seeking hope and peace, and joined the multitudes of white-robed pilgrims to his religion’s famed city. He carried out all the required rituals at the various holy sites, including “Stoning the Devil.” But when it was over, he told his fellow pilgrims, “They told me I would find solutions and hope here. I haven’t. I’m still weary, worse than before and don’t know what to do.”

Discouraged, Omar went to the bus station to return home. The station was normally jammed with people, but not this time. There was only one bus left, and it was empty. It was a strange situation, but wanting to get going, he boarded anyway.

Part 5 – Supernatural Facts in the Bible

Supernatural Facts of the Bible proving the Scriptures were God inspired

In Genesis, God said that male babies should be circumcised when they are eight days old. Genesis 17:12 “For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised,”  Medical science has now discovered that this is the day that the coagulating factor in the blood, called prothrombin, is the highest. It reaches its peak on the eighth day, then drops. Medical science has also discovered that this is when the human body’s immune system is at its peak.

Today we are told that eating fat is bad for our hearts and can lead to prostate cancer. God said not to eat fat thousands of years ago Leviticus 7:22-23 ‘The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites: ‘Do not eat any of the fat of cattle, sheep or goats.” God also instructed the Israelites not to eat pork; we know that pork has to be thoroughly cooked because it can carry parasites. God gave his people many dietary instructions. Although we can see the reasons for them today, God’s people at the time, had to trust him for a reason.

Leviticus 13:46 “As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp.”  God gave the Israelite’s laws concerning quarantine 3500 years ago. Modern man did not instigate laws of quarantine until the seventeenth century. Millions of lives could have been saved during the black plague alone if people had listened to God’s command concerning quarantine.

The Bible is proven accurate though it’s prophecy that has already been fulfilled. And by the archaeology finds that have documented its accuracy. Nearly one-quarter of the Bible is made up of prophecy.

There are approximately 2500 predictions in the Bible. About 2000 of these predictions have already been fulfilled. Many down to minor details. More are being fulfilled as we watch the approach of the end times. The remaining prophecies will be fulfilled during and after the tribulation.

None of the books from the world’s counterfeit religions have even dared to make such prophecies as the Bible contains, for who but God, knows the future.

Archaeology has continued to prove the Bible true. Historical scholars claimed there was no proof that King Herod, Pontius Pilate, Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar,  Hezekiah, Darius, and King David ever existed. But archaeological discoveries in recent years have proved they and many more biblical characters did exist. Archaeology has never proved the Bible false, rather it has substantiated the scriptures.  Archaeologists continue to find cities and places mentioned in the Bible, such as in 2004 when they discovered the Siloam Pool where Jesus healed the blind man. And in September of 2015, the biblical city of Sodom was discovered. Excavations show that the city came to a sudden fiery end, just as portrayed in the Bible. In fact, all archaeology finds have agreed with the historical biblical accounts as recorded in the Bible. There has not been a single artifact or discovery made that would disprove what is written in The Word of God.

An honest look at the scriptures can leave no doubt, but that the writings were God inspired.

A Skunk Tale

Hope Shack

Many years ago when I was much younger, I would trap fur in the late fall and winter. I trapped coyote, fox, raccoon, beaver, muskrat and mink. I enjoyed trapping, it was another way to extend my time outdoors. It was also a way to supplement my income.

A downside of fox trapping was that you would occasionally catch a skunk. There is just no good way to remove a skunk from a trap, without encountering some skunk smell. Even if you shoot them without their spraying, their muscles will relax and out will come this most unpleasant aroma.

I had a friend, Clark, who also trapped. When Clark was a teenager, his uncle told him that if you picked a skunk up by the tail so that its hind feet was off the ground, it would be not able to spray. He explained that a skunk needed to brace…

Ashleigh’s Story

This year my life changed. I have always been desperately passionate about Christ. I have had struggles, but not like the kind that have faced me this year . . .but I guess I did ask for it.

Just after New Year I spoke to the Lord and said, ‘’Lord, I am stagnant. You know I have always wanted you deeply. You know I am here willing to serve you, but I am just living. I want to go even deeper into you. I want to keep growing…

The Power of Song

departure_of_the_john_wesley_from_southampton_iv_march_1847_p-26_-_copy

Before coming to Christ, John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, traveled from England to Georgia as a missionary, but the experience was a failure. As he returned home in frustration, his ship ran headlong into a terrible storm. Wesley was terrified, but he couldn’t help noticing a group of German Christians aboard the ship. They trusted God so completely they held a worship service in the storm. In the middle of their singing, a wave rose over the vessel and bore down like Niagara. But the Christians didn’t miss a note. Wesley realized the German believers had something he didn’t have; and through their influence, he shortly afterward trusted Christ completely and felt his heart “strangely warmed.”

Trusting Christ enables us to sing in the storm. Our Lord gives songs in the night, and He teaches us to sing songs of deliverance as we wait on Him.

An old hymn says “Singing I go along life’s road, praising the Lord, praising the Lord.” Others, noticing the melody of our lives, will be drawn to Christ.(David Jeremiah)
